Kaiser Permenente is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Thoracic Surgeron to join our collaborative two-surgeon team at Sunnyside Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. We're looking for a skilled and compassionate physician who is committed to delivering high-quality, comprehensive thoracic care.

You'll be part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team providing a range of advance, minimally invasive thoracic procedures, including:

  • VATS and robotic-assisted lobectomies (RATS)
  • Mediastinal mass resections
  • Esophagectomies
  • Paraesophageal hernia repairs
  • Lung biopsies and wedge resections
  • Chest wall resections and reconstructions
  • Substernal goiter resections
  • Bronchoplasty and tracheoplasty

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated Thoracic Surgeon with oncology experience to join a forward-thinking, patient-centered team in a high-performing cancer center.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Eligible in Thoracic Surgery

Current hiring incentives for this role: 

  • Relocation allowance – up to $15,000

The annual salary for this position is $610,700 - $694,000 which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors. In addition to the salary range above, NWP offers rich benefits that add substantial value to the total compensation package.

The annual call compensation adds an average of $73,000 to the total compensation package.
