Overview

We invite applications for a Board Certified or Eligible Cardiologist with sub-specialty training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. Our new partner will join a team of 25 Cardiologists for a mixed practice of advanced heart failure (MCS, heart transplant, shock) with general cardiology.  

What You Can Expect:

  • Q4 week advanced heart failure call/inpatient service, will see a mix of heart failure and general cardiology. Night time call is for advanced heart failure only and not general cardiology.
  • Support staff includes 1 APP for rounding/consults while on inpatient call.
  • Advanced heart failure team includes 3 other ADHF boarded cardiologists, 1 transplant coordinator, 2 LVAD coordinators and a social worker.
  • Temporary MCS (no ecmo at this time) and DT LVAD implanting center. Partners with numerous transplant centers through Kaiser’s National Transplant Service contracts in other states as well as 2 local centers. Transplant patient care is completely internalized within 8-10 weeks based on complexity.
  • Opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams including Cardiothoracic surgery, Structural and Interventional cardiology, Electrophysiology and Pulmonary critical care.  
  • Opportunity for cath lab procedures including right heart catheterization and endomyocardial biopsies. If interested could also do TEEs.  

Minimum Requirements

  • American board certified or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Advance Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology

The annual salary for this position is $452,600 - $489,400 which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors. In addition to the salary range above, NWP offers rich benefits that add substantial value to the total compensation package.
