We are seeking a candidate that is BE/BC in pediatrics to serve as a part time inpatient pediatric hospitalist in our well newborn and special care nurseries. Must be NRP and PALS certified. Clinical responsibilities include rounding in the well newborn and special care nursery, attending deliveries, and performing pediatric consults in the ED. Candidate must be able to lead neonatal resuscitation, intubate, place umbilical lines, and perform needle decompression. Circumcision and frenotomy experience strongly desired. Hospitalist will rotate among three community based hospitals in the Portland Metro area. Flexible schedule with day, night, and weekend shifts.
An opportunity is also available for select candidates to serve as an inpatient general medicine ward attending for KP pediatric patients admitted at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. This role includes teaching OHSU pediatric and family residents as well as medical students. Infrastructure support includes direct access to a broad range of pediatric subspecialists, an in-house 24-7 Pediatric ICU Attending, dedicated pediatric emergency room staff, and Child Life.
